"Walter has his heart strings tied to giving the youth and underprivileged the same opportunities that are afforded to those that may not have to carry burdens that could impede their success. He had to overcome many obstacles in order to be in a position to give back to the community as he was once one of these underprivileged youths. This makes him very passionate in ensuring that these student athletes and their families obtain the survival skills and education that will allow them to be successful in their endeavors.

He has served as a President of an association and foundation that was responsible for managing and funding a major endowment at his alma-mater (Tuskegee University) that provided scholarships to deserving students that was measured by performance and financial need. He also has served as a board member of organizations that provide services in the local communities. Services include providing lunch, school supplies, backpacks, while funding toy and food drives that allow some of these students to participate in the holidays (The Mind Groves) and programs to develop the youth to be leaders and preparing them for post secondary education in areas where continuing education may not be valued (RLIFE).
Continuing his quest of philanthropy, Walter has also served as an Executive Team Leader at 3M in the Frontline Sales Initiative were he:
•Assisted in acquiring $1 million+ to fund the construction of the Andrew Brimmer College of Business building
•Partnered with Tuskegee University to build/design a sales curriculum which expanded into an AACSB accredited Sales & Marketing Major
